What you leave with

  • 14 CPD credits, independently certified
  • The ability to build a wound from a clinical brief instead of copying a photograph
  • Wound profiles that match specific learning objectives, not generic effects
  • Techniques that reproduce consistently from one exercise to the next
  • Safe application and removal of every material used on the course

Who it is for

Simulation technicians, educators, clinical trainers, and anyone running exercises who needs casualties to look right. We have taught NHS teams, military personnel, emergency services and colleges on tailored days, which are bespoke courses: see Bespoke Training. No prior moulage experience is required for day one.

From grazes to gunshot wounds

The course runs over two consecutive days, and the credits need both. Day one builds the foundation, and day two puts it under pressure with the injuries that appear in major incident and multi-casualty exercises. No prior moulage experience is needed to start.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the two days have to be consecutive?

The course runs on two consecutive days and the 14 CPD credits are awarded for both days completed as one course. Booking day one and day two as separate courses does not earn the credits, so if you need the CPD, book Application Skills.

Can I book just one day?

Yes. Each day runs on its own at £200 + VAT for day one and £220 + VAT for day two, which is £240 and £264 including VAT. A single day carries no CPD credits, because the credits are awarded for both days of Application Skills, completed as one course.

Do I need prior moulage experience?

No. Day one is designed as an entry point, and all materials and tools are provided.

What should I bring?

Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting product on, and we supply everything else.

Where is the course held?

Scheduled courses run at our local training centre in Nantwich, Cheshire, just off junction 16 of the M6, and we can run the same course at your own site anywhere in the UK. Joining instructions with start and finish times go out once your place is confirmed.

Can the course be tailored to our sector?

Yes, as a bespoke course. Bespoke Training is tailored moulage training, built around your sector, your injury profile, and the way your team works. Tell us your sector and the environment your team trains in, and the course is built to that.
