Our two-day SIMFX® Makeup course is designed for anyone wishing to start out or refresh their skills in makeup for medical and trauma simulation.
We train in small classes, using our custom-built learning frameworks that give a perfect blend of necessary theory with loads of hands-on practical and personal training.
By the end of the course you'll be equipped to work confidently with makeup in scenario-based training and simulation.

SM1 is Day one of the SIMFX® Makeup course.
The course is open to anyone with little/no experience, or those that wish to refresh their basic knowledge of makeup for medical simulation or first aid training.
The day starts by introducing the benefits of simulation makeup, building product knowledge and discussing the basic elements of scenario planning. We'll then progress to exploring the fundamentals and practical skills for Medical Simulation Makeup application to simulate minor wounds.
Throughout our training we'll merge realism with artistic elements to maximise the impact of your work and on completion of this part of the training day you'll have the necessary knowledge and skills to apply a variety of Medical Simulation Makeup to simulate minor medical conditions including bruising, cuts, grazes, scars, bites and more. Injuries studied can be tailored to individual requirements.
You will accumulate 7 CPD credits* to be allocated to your total on completion of day 2 [SM2].
Our courses take place primarily in a practical classroom setting in Nantwich, Cheshire.
We may also be able to run our training courses at your facility. Please contact us for further details.
Individual pricing for SM1 is set at £260. All equipment and products used on the day are included.
Booking for the full two-day SIMFX® Makeup course [SM1 & SM2 together] attracts a 10% discount.
* Please note: CPD credits can only be applied on completion of both SM1 & SM2 within 6 months of your course start date.
Groups and venues other than our Nantwich Classroom are priced on application.
Anyone who has undertaken our SM1 training. Attending SM2 will complete or refresh the SIMFX® Makeup course.
SM2 is day two of the SIMFX® Makeup course during which we explore theory, techniques and products used to create major trauma and injury for training.
We will train you in the use of silicone and other products and materials to build a deeper level of realism into your work using sculpting techniques directly onto the skin.
On completion of the SIMFX Makeup course, you'll have the necessary knowledge and skills to apply a variety of Medical Simulation Makeup to simulate major medical conditions including lacerations, gunshot and shrapnel wounds, burns and more. Injuries studied can be tailored to individual requirements.
Following completion of SM2, we will submit the certification to allocate 14 credits to your CPD record*.
